The Land Trust Legacy Society recently held our second annual Estate Planning Reception at Frog’s Leap Winery in Rutherford. Our free wine and cheese reception provides professional advice and ideas of how you can help permanently preserve Napa by including the Land Trust in your estate plan.

There are many ways you can provide for your heirs and leave a lasting legacy that will benefit Napa for generations to come. One of the easiest options discussed at the event is naming the Land Trust as a beneficiary of your Individual Retirement Account (IRA), which will prevent your loved ones from being taxed on inherited IRA funds.

The Land Trust also accepts gifts of appreciated assets like stock, land, and real estate. If you would like to know more about how you can include the Land Trust in your estate plan, please contact Jill Jacobs at 707.261.6350 or jill@napalandtrust.org.

Many thanks to John Williams and Frog’s Leap Winery for hosting our Estate Planning Reception and providing the wine. And special thanks to our select participants: Former Land Trust board member Chip Bouril, LPL Financial Advisor Mark Richmond, Partner at Hines Carr Diamond LLP David Diamond and Land Trust Board Chair and Partner at G&J Seiberlich & Co. Greg Bennett.
