April 21: Maggie’s Peak Geology Hike

Rating: Strenuous, 3 miles, 1.5 k ft elevation gain

Join guides Cari Roughley and Keene Karlsson, geology instructors at Napa Valley College, who will share insights on local and regional geology for Archer Taylor Preserve and the North Bay. We’ll also hike up Maggie’s Peak to see expansive views of the North Bay. Close-toed, sturdy hiking boots are required. Hiking poles are recommended for the rocky uphill and downhill areas.

Bring: water, snacks, lunch, sun protection, layered clothing, and your curiosity.

Field Trip registration closes three (3) days prior to the event date.

Please note that minors will need to be accompanied by an adult, and will need to provide a signed minor waiver to participate.
